Green-ing Outside the Box
Urban Food Production in Montréal
2014
Montréal, QC, Canada
Montréal has more unused space than we think — vacant lots, forgotten corners, underused strips between buildings. This project activates them. By introducing simple, adaptable growing structures made from recycled materials, we turn residential streets and restaurant zones into small-scale food production sites. No grand infrastructure. No permanent commitment. Just residents, neighbors, and local businesses choosing to grow something together — building awareness around where food comes from, and quietly reimagining what a city can become.
