One Continuous Line

There's no single light fixture to point to at Bilal Halal Burger. There's one light — a hundred metres of it.

Instead of dotting the ceiling with individual fixtures, Atelier MIM ran a single unbroken LED strip the length of the entire space, looping over both dining zones without a visible seam or junction box. It reads less like lighting and more like a drawing — one continuous line pulled across the room.

‍

For a fast-casual concept built on speed and motion, that unbroken line does more work than any single fixture could.

Engineering an Unbroken Loop

A hundred metres of continuous LED sounds simple until you try to build it. Every bend, every ceiling transition, every structural obstruction had to be resolved before a single metre of strip went up — because the entire concept depends on there being no visible break in the line.

The strip runs inside a custom recessed channel, concealing the wiring and diffusing the light into a soft, even glow rather than a hard visible line of LEDs. Power runs were planned at the framing stage, long before finishes went in, so the electrical infrastructure could disappear entirely into the ceiling.

Light as Rhythm, Not Just Illumination

The two dining zones at Bilal Halal Burger each have their own bold identity — a pink zone, a green zone, each with their own graphic language. The ceiling is what ties them together. One continuous ribbon of light runs overhead through both rooms, the single unifying gesture in a space that is otherwise built on contrast.

At night, that ribbon becomes the room's signature from the street — a glowing line visible through the glass facade before a single burger is ever seen.

The most memorable lighting decisions rarely come from a single statement fixture. They come from committing fully to one idea and executing it without compromise — even when that idea is a hundred metres long.
